NELSON, LEONARD “LEN” – age 56 of Knoxville passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Ft. Sanders Regional, after a long and brave battle with cancer. Preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Virginia Nelson; beloved mother-in-law, Shirley Manuel. Survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Susie Nelson; beloved and faithful son who took care of him, Matt Nelson; sister, Denise Coryea; brother, Robert Nelson (Miriam); aunt, Doris McDonald (Joe); father-in-law who loved him as his own son, Bud Manuel; partner in crime sister-in-law, Connie Manuel, two favorite sisters-in-law, Ann King and Tammy Davenport; niece, Barbara Sweet and several nephews. Visitation will be Friday in Weaver’s Chapel from 6-8 pm with service to follow at 8 pm. Family and friends will meet Saturday 10:45 am at Solway Church of God Cemetery for an 11 am interment.
