The Lord blessed me with a special friendship with Leslie in the past 18 months. Each week, I could count on her greeting me with a big smile and a huge hug. I loved seeing how Jesus changed Leslie from the inside out! He led her down the path of total dependence on Him. As she totally surrendered to the Lord, she received the promised freedom that comes in dying to self and trusting in Him! What a testimony! Leslie showed me what all-out dependence on God really looks like. I will miss her greatly, but we have that blessed assurance that she is now face to face with the Lord, and at peace in His everlasting arms. Alleluia! Amen!

I will always remember growing up together at South Knoxville Baptist Church. Leslie and I got in trouble a few times acting up in church. Our Moms set us straight. Leslie was a fun , loving and crazy teen. I’m sorry we lost contact for a good while. Jennifer and family I am so sorry and love you all.

Leslie lived across the street from my grandmother on red bud when I was a child. Leslie, in my young memory, remains warm and friendly and welcoming and beautiful.

Thought of Leslie many times thru the years after growing up in church together. I will always remember her smile, humor and laugh. Wish I could have reconnected to laugh again about the time she and a friend were going to frost my hair and ended up giving me a bad bleach job! Her eyes were huge in dismay with the end result but we laughed until we cried. A sweet soul is gone too soon. You were very special in many ways. Rest in peace my longtime friend.

When I first came to serenity. I was nervous as can be and Leslie was right there to make me feel welcome. I loved her so much. She will be missed. Thank you Lord for taking her home to be with you. I am thankful for the 14 months I've known her.

My first memory of Leslie was at Serenity in the community room. I walked in and she was standing on the couch cleaning the blinds. Leslie's gift of hospitality came through in making people feel welcomed at Serenity with a clean house, plants in the garden, and a smile on her face. She welcomed all those who came to start their journey to a healthy life. Leslie found a lot of freedom and restoration during her time at Serenity.

Our loss is Heaven's gain!
