Lillian "Sally" Joan May

Sally was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. She enjoyed the simple things in life and especially loved spending time outdoors. She loved fishing and hunting alongside her beloved husband, Jerry, and she also enjoyed gardening.

Sally was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Gerald “Jerry” May; her parents, Kenneth, and Louise Pride; her brothers, Kenny Pride, Bill Pride, David Pride, and Jack Pride; and her sister, Susan Hayes.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Amanda May, and her beloved grandson, Anderson “Andy” May.

Of all the roles she cherished throughout her life, being Grammy to her only grandchild, Andy, was among her most treasured. Andy was the light of her life and the greatest joy of her heart. There was nothing she loved more than being his Grammy.

Sally is also survived by her brothers, Larry Pride and Donnie Pride; her sisters, Karen Pride, Edna Keef, and Linda Jones; as well as extended family and loved ones who will cherish the many memories they shared with her.

Services for Sally will be private, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Sally’s honor to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Youth Group, 2500 Mayville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920
