Linda Lou Adcock

Linda Lou Adcock, age 84, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. She was a member of Thorngrove Baptist Church; worked at Standard Knitting Mills until it closed and worked at Children's and St. Mary's Hospitals as a C.N.A for many years.Linda was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Beulah Armstrong; husband, Hu H. Adcock; daughter, Gail Bowman; grandson, Daniel Bowman. She is survived by daughters, Gwen (Glenn) Taylor, Tammy (Steve) Lamb and Missy (John) Brothers; 6 grandchildren, Christie (Rick) Hicks, Jennifer (Mark) McCroskey, Lauren (Scott) White, Josh (Ali) Lamb, Nick (Yani) Brothers and Kennedy Brothers; 2 great-grandchildren, Maddie and John McCroskey; brothers, Boyd, Ferd (Brenda) and David Armstrong; sister, June Emberton; several nieces, nephews and family members.The family will receive friends Friday, September 22, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at McCarty Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Hwy, service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Arthur Hunt officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Thorngrove Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. Interment. Condolences may be offered at www.mccartyevergreen.com.
