Linda Carrol Noce, 78, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2026. She lived a full and faithful life and would want those who knew her to know that she is now at peace, reunited with the loved ones who preceded her in heaven.
A Knoxville native, Carrol lived life as a true jack of all trades, following her interests across a variety of professions and pursuits. A craftsman at heart, she never missed an opportunity to fix something, create a design, or make something special. Perhaps her most meaningful roles, however, were those of mother and friend, both of which she embraced wholeheartedly.
Carrol was well-traveled and experienced much of the world, gathering memories and experiences that enriched her life. She will be remembered for her light and wonder, her curiosity, kindness, and enthusiasm for life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Rosetta Farmer; her brother, Butch Farmer; and her husband, Paul L. Noce.
She is survived by her son, Tony; her daughter-in-law, Gretchen; and her grandson, Tanner.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the Thompson family (Elizabeth, David, Michael, Kenny, Angelina and Briana); Beverly and Andi Campbell; Shirley Shanks; Don Sprain; Gene Clark; Ida and Vernon Corum; and the many neighbors and friends who remained thoughtful, loyal, and caring throughout her life. Your kindness and support are deeply appreciated.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026 from 5-7pm to celebrate Carrol's life followed by a reception at Berry Highland Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made to the Pat Summitt Foundation.
