

Linda N. Whitehead, 78, of Farragut, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025. Born on June 25, 1947, in Knoxville, Linda’s early years were shaped by her life as the daughter of a military father, living in various places before returning to her beloved hometown of Knoxville, TN. She met the love of her life, Gerald Whitehead, as a sophomore at Bearden High School. She and Gerald were inseparable and created a blessed life together overflowing with love and adoration for each other with a strong Christian foundation.
Linda was the heart and soul of her interior design business, where her boundless creativity transformed spaces and touched the lives of her clients. Her talent for design was matched only by her passion for bringing beauty and warmth into the world around her. A dedicated tennis player, Linda found joy and camaraderie on the court, where her competitive spirit and infectious enthusiasm shone brightly.
Linda cherished her friendships, especially with her beloved “YaYa sisters,” a close-knit group of friends who gathered monthly for dinners filled with laughter and shared stories. Her warmth, creativity, and zest for life left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Betty Ann Sharp, Roy Lillard and Margaret Whitehead; brother Lance Sharp, and infant Grandson Taylor Blake Whitehead.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Gerald Whitehead; daughter, Amy Whitehead Wilcox (John); son, Gregory Whitehead (Brenda); cherished grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jackson, and Grayson; and loving brothers Brian and Jeffrey Sharp and families. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and her love for them is everlasting.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at Berry Highland Memorial on Thursday, October 16th from 5-7pm. Burial will be Friday, October 17th at 11:00 am in Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Linda’s legacy of creativity, friendship, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
