She was laid to rest next to her late husband of 68 years Leland Clois Stanfill. She will be missed by her children and their spouses, David Stanfill (Willamae Stanfill), Denise Stanfill Gordon (Steve Gordon), Dian Stanfill (Steve Wilson) and her grandchildren, Tony Washington and Sarah Stanfill, many nephews and nieces, friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Beulah Garner, 5 brothers and a sister, and husband Leland C. Stanfill.
Mrs. Stanfill worked at The University of Tennessee’s Office of Admissions for many years before leaving to run a family business with her husband for over 20 years. She had been a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church since 1959.
The family would like to thank the staff at Freedom Senior Living in Sevierville for the kind and loving care they showed to Lounelle every day.
A graveside service was held Sunday April 24th at Mt. Olive Cemetery led by Pastor Kirby Ownby.
