Mr. Lowell E Cook Jr.

He was a 1956 graduate of Young High School and served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960.

He was employed with Albers Drug Company from 1960 to 1977 and a credit manager with Vulcan Materials from 1977 to 2000.

Lowell was a former member of Galilee Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and current member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. Lowell was an avid fan of the University of Tennessee sports. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Louise Gillespie Cook, parents, Lowell Eugene Cook, Sr. and Eva Lucille Sayne Cook; brother, Jesse "Buddy" Cook and wife Jane Cook and brother, Charles Cook

Lowell is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Susan Cook; grandson, Andrew Cook; brother-in-law, Arnold Cotter;

sister and brother-in-law , Fred and Glenda Pickens and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Smoky Mountain Hospice and Autumn Care West for their excellent care.

The family will receive friends 12-2 pm Wednesday, November 26, 2025 in the chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway with a Celebration of Life Service at 2 pm. Dr. Kirby Ownby officiating. Interment to follow at Berry Highland South Cemetery.
