Malcolm E. Murphy

SSGT. Malcolm E. Murphy, age 77, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Malcolm was in the United States Marine Corps for 7 1/2 years and the Army National Guards 278th How Battery Division.

He is preceded in death by parents Malcolm H. Murphy and Juanita Murphy and brothers Walter T. Murphy and Richard D. Murphy.

Malcolm is survived by his wife of 56 years Alma Emory Murphy; the apples of his eye Jourdan Ragland, Jahseh Ragland and Gianna Roe; Nieces and Nephews Cristy Vanover, Misty Watkins, Kristin Ragland, Tammy Emory, Joe Graham, Jimmy Graham, Charles Graham, Robert Graham and Billy Joe Emory. The family would also like to thank Malcolm's care giver Tasha Davis for the love and care she provided for him during this time.

The family welcomes friends to a Visitation on Monday, July 10, 2023 at Berry Highland South from 4pm-6pm with a Funeral, officiated is Rick Dotson, to follow at 6pm. Family and friends will meet at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 8:20am for an 8:30am Graveside Service.
