Margot was born May 15, 1929 in Germany. While still in Germany she met her husband, Harvey Bridges Jr. of Union County, while he was station there after WW2. She moved to Tennessee and they married in 1952.
She worked in her career as a medical records secretary for Helen Ross McNabb. She enjoyed her family, being a member of First Lutheran church and gardening. She loved to make traditional German desserts, especially German cookies for Christmas gifts, but she was best known for her potato salad.
Margot was preceded in death by her parents Bernhard and Wanda Wegner. Husband, Harvey Bridges. Brothers, Bernhard Jr. and Leo Wegner.
She is survived by her sisters, Irmgard Hendren, Lena Wagner; Children, Sam Bridges (Charlotte), Rosie Rosen (Bill), Tom Bridges (Debbie). John Bridges (Amy); Grandchildren, Becky Baggett (Jason), Josh Gilbreath (Caitlin), Emily Bridges, Chris Rosen (Dena), Zach Rosen, Brent Rosen (Hannah), Derek Rosen, Jamie Flynn, Louis Webb; Great grandchildren, Trent, Taylor, Ethan, Evian, Laken, Cree, Cason , Alex, Ansley, Jackson, Harper, Finley, Stella, Sophie and 8 Great great grandchildren.
A visitation for Margot will be held Friday, August 9, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Berry Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919. There will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM, immediately followed by committal in Berry Highland Memorial Cemetery.
