Marjorie (Margie) J. Hinkle. We rejoice with her as she ran into His arms while looking at His glorious face. She was a member of North Knoxville Baptist Church. While living in Nashville she was a member of Scottsboro First Baptist Church, where she often sang. Margie was a switchboard operator but most important to her she was a instructor for visual impaired children. She also had a long career as a gospel music singer throughout Tennessee, Texas and Alabama. Margie was preceded in death by parents, Tensley A. and Elma S. Clevenger. She is survived by son, Rev. David (Rosalyn) Mauldin; grandchildren, Joseph and Daniel Mauldin; sister, Emma JoAnn (Jody) Clevenger; sister of the heart, Toni (Ron) Watts and family, Joy (Jeff) Chadwick, Aiden and Addison. Special friend Janie Clark and daughter of the heart Karen Villicana. Thanks to Candace Redmond, Margie was her sunshine, for her care and love. Family will receive friends Saturday November 20, 2021 from 12-2 p.m at North Knoxville Baptist Church. Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joe Emmert officiating. Interment will be Monday November 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee, Rev. Everett Robertson officiating.
