It is with heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Marlene Kay Krzak, age 80, who entered eternal rest at her beloved home in Knoxville, TN, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, surrounded by the love that defined her extraordinary life.
Marlene was a devoted member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Knoxville, where her faith served as the cornerstone of her compassionate spirit. Her servant's heart touched countless lives through her dedicated volunteer work with Knoxville Mobile Meals, Random Acts of Flowers, and the South Knox Food Pantry. She generously gave her time to numerous church ministries and community service activities, always seeking ways to lift others and spread kindness wherever she went.
In a testament to her profound impact on others, Marlene once encountered a man who had lost all hope and was contemplating ending his life. Through her compassion and witness, she not only helped save his life but also welcomed him into her church family—a beautiful reflection of her gift for seeing the divine worth in every person she met.
Marlene has been joyfully reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Gary Krzak; her cherished parents, Harry and Alma Osterland; her dear sister-in-law, Penny Hammer; and numerous beloved aunts and uncles.
Her legacy of unconditional love, faith, and service lives on through her devoted children: Patrick G. Krzak, Shannon A. Krzak, and Shawn M. Holden. She was the treasured grandmother of Aaron Krzak and Nathaniel Holden, who will forever carry her memory and the values she instilled in their hearts.
Marlene's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of faith, family, friendship, and selfless service. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering dedication to helping others will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life and honor the memory of Marlene on Saturday, June 21, 2025, with a receiving of friends from 10:00am to 11:00am, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00am at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6745 Palms Rd., Ira Township, MI 48023, with Pastor Steve Hoerr to officiate the service.
