Martha Elizabeth Insell

INSELL, MARTHA E., age 80, beloved and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, went to sleep to be with the Lord on August 27, 2012. She was a long time member of the Karns Church of Christ where she was a Bible class teacher for 40 years for the 3-year-olds. She is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jerald; daughter, Debbie Slagle; and parents, Escal and Elizabeth Cherry. She is survived by children Richard Slagle, Knoxville; Jean and Lloyd Thomas, Jefferson City; Alan and Ruth Insell, Maury City; Arlene and Michael Crowe, Bremerton, WA; and Jay and Connie Insell, Clinton; 16 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Agnes Haynes, Alice Stem, Geraldine and Glendon Richardson; Boyd Cherry, Morgan and Virginia Cherry all of Murfreesboro. Family will receive friends Thursday, August 30, from 5-8 p.m. with funeral service to follow at Karns Church of Christ. Family and friends will meet 10:00 am Friday at Karns Church of Christ to proceed to Oak Ridge Memorial Park for an 11 am interment. Memorials may be given to Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies.
