Martha Ann Montgomery

Montgomery, Martha Ann, age 95, of South Knoxville passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home. Martha enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, helping others, cooking, working in her yard, vacationing at Citico Creek, and serving the Vestal Community. She worked at the Patent Button Company for many years and retired from TRW.

Martha was preceded in death by husband, Lloyd Montgomery; brothers, Dean and Jobey Clark; daughter, Jerline Spangler; son-in-law, James Carrell; grandson, Michael Hendricks; and great-great granddaughter, Hannah Berry. She is survived by sister, Carrie Messemore; daughters and son-in-law, Hazel Carrell and Peggy and Tom Hill; grandchildren, Ernie and Kim Hendricks, Benny and Vickie Carrell, Debbie Rauhuff, Danny Plemons, Becky Livingston, Kim and Jeff Turner, Ginger Hill and Tommy and Allison Hill; great-grandchildren, Marcus and Jessica Carrell, P.J. Clabough, Tonya and Tracy Raby, Steven Rauhuff, Beth and Charlie Hicks, Justin Livingston, Brandon Livingston, Stephanie and Jason Ward, Sam and Keisha Jackson, Adam Jackson, and Corey Hill; great-great grandchildren, Henry Carrell, Sydney Abigail Hendricks, Landon Raby, Lyndsey Raby, Hunter Simpson, and Nellie Jackson; and many other cherished family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 6 from 5:00-7:00pm at Berry Funeral Home. The family will meet on Friday, March 7 at 11:30am at Berry Funeral Home and go in procession to Woodlawn Cemetery for a 1:00pm graveside service with Pastor Buddy Johnson officiating.
