Martha S Teffeteller

Martha S. Teffeteller age 91 of Knoxville, departed this life Saturday, August 26, 2017 at her home. She was born February 12, 1926 in Schweinfurt, Germany to the late Karl and Anna Volgle Schneider and was a survivor of the holocaust. She was a member of West Haven Baptist Church and retired from Standard Knitting Mills after 11 years of service and she enjoyed crocheting. Martha was preceded in death by her husband Richard S. Teffeteller; brothers Karl and Arnold Schneider; sisters Erna, Freida and Emilie. She is survived by daughter Gerti Teffeteller of Knoxville; brother Ferdinand Schneider of Schweinfurt, Germany; sister Kathe Bearman of Wurtzburg, Germany; and special friend who cared for her Pat Hodge as well as several nieces, nephews in Germany and extended family members Kim, Dave, Jeremy and Joshua whom she loved dearly. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Berry Highland South Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastors Gary Smith and Ed Cloud officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, August 30th at Berry Highland South Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service.
