Martha Jo Williamson, 71, was born on October 23, 1947 to James and Martha Lee Mack in Knoxville, TN. She departed this life on September 4, 2019 at the Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Martha was loved by everyone she came in contact with and she never met a stranger. She was known for her awesome cooking and her flare for fashion. She enjoyed sports and was a competitive softball player in her younger years. Martha was also a member of OES, Order of Eastern Star. Her journey and Sisterhood began with the Star of Wisdom #5 Chapter of Indianapolis, Indiana. Over the course of her life she worked in different fields, but she really developed a passion for helping the elderly and also worked in various capacities in the medical field. She retired as a health care worker but her care, love and compassion for people carried on. She enjoyed having a good time and she made spending quality time with her entire family and friends a priority. She is preceded in death by her father, James R. Mack, Sr.; mother, Martha L. Mack; stepmother, Elsie Mack; brothers, James R. Mack, Jr., John I. Mack, Alton Mack, Steve Mack; sister, Cecilia P. Carter. She leaves to cherish her memory brothers, Terry (Patricia) Mack, Gary (Dolly) Mack; sister, Willa Mack and her five children: Anthony (Sandy) Mack, Marshall Mack, Alton (Mauya) Stover, Oltra Knight, Candy (Ron) Marsh. Also, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 14th, from 12-1 PM at Wilder Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will begin at 1. Family and friends will go in procession to Berry Highland South Cemetery for a 3 PM graveside service.
