This is Thomas Edmons. At Senn High School, Marty was my best friend. We both played on the offensive line on the football team. We attended numerous Cubs and White Sox games. Sometimes his sister, Joanie, would accompany. We played a ton of baseball together. Shared Star Trek. French Fries at Dandee's.  He played trumpet and brought it to Cubs games to play the Charge. He lived above Devon Bank in infamous West Rogers Park. We would go to movies with other friends. The Nortown Theatre or Downtown sometimes. We all went to Ravinia a couple times. I saw him later after he got out of the Navy, and I had graduated college. He had a lot of great stories. I know he had a great marriage although I don't remember the names. Marty, we remember you with love.

Marty was an honorable and good friend.  He displayed great kindness and compassion to his wife, Sharon.  He was also one of the all time great Packer Fans.  We will miss him.  We are happy we can still talk with Sharon and we wish her our deepest condolences and peace.  Love, Bret and Heather Burroughs
