Marty Grayson

Grayson, Marty Lynn, age 59 of Greenback, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024. He was born in Knoxville, TN on June 30, 1964, and grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida for over 30 years, and then moved back to his home state of Tennessee in 2011. Marty entered the Navy at the age of 17 with his good buddy, Bobby Cooper: He was honorably discharged and then moved to Florida, thereafter. Marty loved and adored his pet bird, Chickie, and his little white dog, Copper. His greatest love and devotion was his family and His Lord & Savior. From early adulthood, he enjoyed race cars (The National Hot Rod Association). For decades, Marty loved all types of music from Rock & Roll to Country and anything in between. In his past time, Marty loved boating, camping, going to the lake and the beach, attending music concerts, and exploring his home state, Tennessee, with the love of his life, Diane, by his side. He loved anything that had to do with the outdoors. Marty will always be remembered and forever missed by everyone who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Faye Bolton Grayson; father, Jack Melvin Grayson; grandparents, Charles and Marion Bolton Turnbill and Roy and Margaret Grayson.

Marty is survived by his significant other, Diane Lynn Moe Gehrig; children, Monica Grayson and Joshua Grayson; brothers, Jason Melvin (Vicki) Grayson and Stoney Lee (Marie) Grayson; sister Mitzie Elizabeth Grayson; nephews, Jason C. Grayson and Justin Grayson and fiancé Carson Woods; and niece, Kali Stone.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Friday March 15, 2024 at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, 9010 E. Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920.
