Marvin “Sonny” Lee Tuggle, Sr. age 91 of Knoxville, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025. Retired U.S. Air Force Veteran and a Bronze Star Recipient and served in the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a lifetime member and past Commander of the American Legion. Member of the Vietnam Veterans Association. He was of the Methodist Faith. Preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Lynell; Parents, James and Lela Tuggle; brother, Bill Tuggle and sister Ruby Owens. Survived by his son, Marvin Tuggle, II and wife, Damaris Pagan; daughter, Faith Tuggle; grandchildren, Isabella Tuggle, Scarlett Tuggle and Jean Tuggle; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Thursday at Weaver Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7 pm. Family and friends will meet at 8:15 am Friday at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for an 8:30 am Graveside Service.
