CARTER, MARY ELLEN – age 71 of Knoxville was called home October 3, 2011 to join our Lord and Savior, husband Joe, sister Billie, and her husband Ivan, parents Jr. and Lizzie Blevins, and other loved ones passed before her. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She will be forever in the hearts of her loved ones. Survived by sons, Joey and soul mate Sharon, James and wife Desiree, daughters; first born and best friend Janice, Jeannie and husband Rick, brothers; Arthur, James, and Jerry, sister; Janet, Godchildren; Betsy, Jennie, Allan, Odie and a host of other family and friends. Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice staff. Visitation will be Thursday 6-8 pm at Weaver Funeral Home with service to follow at 8 pm. Pastor Jack Carter officiating.
