Mary Alma Denton

March 14, 1911January 5, 2013

DENTON, MARY ALMA – age 101, of Asbury Place Maryville and formerly of South Knoxville, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013. Mrs. Denton taught in the Knox County School System for 28 years. Preceded in death by husband, William Izaak Denton, Sr.; and sister, Ruth Greene Cate. She is survived by daughter, Barbara Barger (Bob); daughter, Sandy Curtis (Parker); son, Bill Denton (Dean); 9 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway, with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M, Rev. Cabel Trent officiating. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 9:45 A.M. for interment at 10:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas 75284-0692.
