Mary Rose Finch
August 28, 1968 – October 23, 2020
With great sorrow and heavy hearts we announce, that Mary Rose Finch, passed away on October 23, 2020. Although her body gave out on this sad day, her spirit will live within the hearts and minds of everyone she met forever.
She is survived by her three daughters Cassy, Molly, and Hali and her two granddaughters Matilda and Juniper. They would now like to share individual memories of their mother that they have looked to most often.
The earliest memory I have of my momma was our arrival in Jackson, Florida. We moved into a two room trailer home. Momma had the widest smile on her face and she looked down at me and said “ Well! Just look at all of these fancy palm trees!” But that was Mary Rose. She had the most amazing ability to turn undesirable realities into a humorous joke laced with optimism.
I have so many memories of our wonderful Momma. I just want to talk about how she was so wonderful, loving and how much fun she was. She would light up the room with her beautiful smile and heartfelt laugh. I will miss our mother dearly.
My momma meant the world to me. She truly was my best friend. I absolutely loved watching her be a Gigi to my sweet Matilda and watching Matilda love her. Momma was one of a kind and showed me how to love with my whole heart. I’ll cherish every memory of her forever.

The best memories I have of Mary was getting to spend a weekend with her on her little house boat the end of 8th grade year with Cassy, her taking us to a haunted house where she got so scared she peed her pants, and laughing with her on Cassy’s wedding day. She had such a beautiful soul. She will be very missed.
