

Mary Kathryn Sharp Fox, age 101, of Knoxville, TN, died February 4, 2018. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Knoxville for over seventy years and was a Daughter of the American Revolution, Chapter 89. She was a member of the Holston Hills Community Club and was a long-time member of Ossoli Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, of 49 years, Claude E. Fox, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Claude E. Fox, Jr. of Knoxville, TN and Dr. John Sharp Fox of McMinnville, TN; grandchildren, Wade Culvahouse Fox of Hilton Head, SC and Catherine Culvahouse Fox of San Diego, CA; great-grandchild, Pascal Cina Fox of San Diego, CA and several nieces and nephews. Mary emerged from The Great Depression with a business education from Knoxville Business College and worked with her husband to build a business selling equipment to the electrical transmission industry. She delighted in traveling abroad with her husband and was the consummate hostess. She had a sharp eye for style, aesthetics, craftsmanship and art history. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Thursday, February, 8, 2018 at 10am at First Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow at Berry Highland Memorial cemetery.
