Melton, Mary S. of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2013. She was a mother who dedicated her life to her children. Preceded in death by her husband Floyd Melton and former husband Arthur Godfrey. Mary is survived by her sons Alan and Jeff Melton; adopted son Roger Campbell; sister Ida Schwamm; brother Ted Smith; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home on Friday, November 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, November 2 at 12:45 PM for a 1:00 PM graveside service at Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Maynardville.
