Mary Lynn Moore

Mary Lynn devoted many years of service as a nurse at UT Medical Center, where she cared for others with tenderness and dedication. A devout Christian, her faith was the foundation of her life and a light to everyone who knew her. She had a curious mind and a love for reading, always staying engaged with the world around her. She found simple joy in watching people and delighting in God’s creation—especially blue jays and robins, which never failed to bring a smile to her face.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.D. Moore; her son, Justin Moore; her grandsons, Justin and Joshua Moore; and her parents, Woodrow and Odell Yates.

She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her love and miss her dearly: her son, Brian (Stacie) Moore; grandchildren, Cody Daniels (Marissa Brewer), Tyler Davis (Jacob Gibson), and Mickey Moore(Destiny Cowles); great-grandchildren, Lainey Brewer, Brayden Daniels, and Haizlee Daniels; her brother, Steve (Chris) Yates; her sister, Susan (Howard) Tippitt; along with several nieces and nephews. She also deeply loved all her church family at West Haven Baptist Church and her dear friend, Sheri Lyons.

A Celebration of Life will be held at West Haven Baptist Church on February 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

Her legacy of faith, kindness, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
