Mary Helen Roach

Mary Helen Cameron Roach, 94, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Emory Ridge Memory Care of Powell, TN, surrounded by the love of her family. Mary worked as a quality control inspector for the Carrier Corporation for more than 20 years. She was a life-long member of Mascot Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Bertha Cameron; husband of 41 years John David Roach; sisters, Mildred Miller, Nellie Cullison, Faye Lee, Wilma French; brothers, Jay, Thomas, and David Cameron.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Rosie) Roach, Dottie (Mike) Parrott; brother, Gerald (Marie) Cameron; granddaughter, Wendy (Scott) Bowman; great-granddaughters, Jessica (Aaron) Tackett, Amber (Alex) Porter, and much loved great-great-grandchildren, Layla, Jameson, Audren, and Dallas, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and close friends. Mary had a wonderful sense of humor and a loving heart, and she will be sorely missed by all whose presence she graced.

The public is welcomed to pay their final respects at McCarty-Evergreen Funeral Home, 7426 Asheville Highway Knoxville, TN 37924, on Friday, May 1, 2026, 1:00pm to 5:00pm, and Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Family and friends will gather to honor the life and legacy of Mary with a graveside service on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 2:00pm at Clear Springs Baptist Church, 3709 Clear Springs Rd., Mascot, TN 37806, with Chaplain Brian Langley to officiate the service.
