Matthew Robert Williams

Williams, Matthew R. (Matt) - age 48 of Seymour, departed this life on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. He was a member of St. John XXIII. He attended the University of Tennessee and received the two degrees of a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Business Administration. He worked for Ruby Tuesday, also employed by Phillips Electronics, Bike Athletic and also AMETEK. He achieved his Eagle Scout and continued to volunteer as an assistant scout master with the Boys Scouts of America. Preceded in death by mother, Mary Jo Williams. Survived by father, Dr. Robert Williams; sister and husband, Mary Pat Williams and Christopher Sumberg; sister, Nancy Williams; brother and wife, Timothy and Sarah Williams; step-siblings and wives, John and Carol Clarke, Joe and Alison Lima, Eamonn and Danielle Clarke; step-sister and husband, Dr. Amanda Nowakowski and her husband Joe. Funeral mass will be on Sunday, June 27, 2010, at 5:00 pm at St. John XXIII with Father Charlie Donahue. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 27, 2010, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet on Monday, June 28, 2010, at 10:00 am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park for the internment. In lieu of flowers, make checks to Boys Scouts of America.
