Matthew Stuart Woodson

Matthew Stuart Woodson joined his mother Katheryn Babb Woodson in their heavenly home August 16, 2021. Born September 13,1978, Matthew attended Knoxville Central High School and UT Knoxville. He then completed work that designated him as a Microsoft Engineer, worked for Jewelry Television, and formed his own computer company providing IT services for various businesses in the Knoxville area. He was a member of Church Street United Methodist Church. Matthew loved his beautiful children. He was loving and a kind person sensitive to others’ needs. Preceded in death by mother Kathy Woodson,

brother Andrew Thurman, grandparents Edith and Thomas Woodson and Frankie and George Babb. He leaves behind his children Ella and Thomas, father Robert S. Woodson, sister Kristina Grzep and brother-in-law Chris Grzep, Meredith Thomas; aunts and uncles Diana and Woody Woodson, Connie and Mike Cochrane, Vicki and Bob Hall; nieces and nephews Sydney and Casey Grzep; cousins, Josh Hassler and Kaitlyn Pearson, Jessica Gaylon, Cassie Jones, Gabe Woodson, Gracie Jennings, Kristie Rowan, Alicia Bedwell. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021at Church Street United Methodist Church at 6:00 p.m. with receiving friends at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Youth Department, Church Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1303, Knoxville, TN 37901.
