Mearl E Darnell

Mearl Edith Cooper Darnell, 88, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Fort Sanders Hospital. She was a member of Mooreland Heights Baptist church and a retiree of Baptist Hospital. Preceded in death by husband, Edwin “Bud” Darnell; daughter, Mary Louise Luthenauer ; father and mother, Frank and Una Cooper; brothers, Max, Delmar, James, and Howard Cooper. She is survived by sons Charles, Ronnie and wife Shirley; grandchildren; Clark (Lesa) Darnell, Cheryl Weekly (Marc), Leslie Lange(Scott), Maggie Momeyer(Steve); great-grandchildren; Erin and Luke Darnell, Jake, Regan, Garrett Weekly and Maddie Lange; sisters, Dorothy Hatcher and Alden Douglas; brother, Rex Cooper. Family will receive friends Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet at Highland South Cemetery Monday, March 18, 2013 for a 1:00 p.m. graveside service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of choice.
