Though she was born with less than favorable circumstances, Melanie grew up to be a boisterous presence. She spoke louder than many and knew exactly how to get her way. Melanie seemed to have a strange sense of humor, and enjoyed filling silence with a burst of laughter--even if it was at a tear-jerking moment of a movie. If she wanted attention (or just to wreak havoc) she knew how to feign a seizure, or she would get loud and rile up her roommates. Despite and because of these shenanigans, Melanie will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her father Ed (Anita) Driggers and mother Melissa Driggers; sisters Kristin (Jordan) Jennings and Sarah (Zane) Davis; niece Mona Jennings; grandad Edward Driggers Sr.; several aunts, uncles, cousins and her Open Arms Care family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Open Arms Care in Mel Mel's name, 7325 Oak Ridge Hwy, Suite 200, Knoxville, TN 37931.
The family would like to invite friends to a Visitation on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Berry Highland South from 2pm-4pm.
