Michael “Mike” Allen Cottle age 41, born in Bremerton, WA, closed his eyes for the last time on Earth but opened them to the arms of his guardian angel, our precious Momma, Evelyn Mae Cottle. To know Mike was to know the true living definition of strength and perseverance. He managed to earn his Associates Degree in Business Management while wearing a neck brace and chest plate, due to breaking his neck, to class every single day. A few short years later, he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis after suffering a stroke. But the hits didn’t stop there. He was then told he was suffering from a rare disorder, systemic mastocytosis that would eventually turn into mast cell leukemia. But between all the medical diagnoses, Mike received the biggest blessing…a promotion the GIRL DAD! A title in which he took the utmost pride in.
Mike will forever be remembered for his contagious laugh and smile, his ability to keep a whole room laughing for hours, his never ending supply of Dr Pepper and Heinz Ketchup, and the ability to destroy any opponent on Madden on his PlayStation. But most importantly, we will never forget the love he had for his family and even more so, his beautiful best friend and daughter, Amilia Lynn Cottle.
While our hearts are broken, we rejoice in the fact that he is in Heaven with no more pain, chemo, tests, surgeries or meds and surrounded by our Momma, Nana, Josh and Jonesy. He is survived and forever missed by his daughter Amilia, our father Gregory Cottle (Shirley), me- his sister Ashlynn Jeffries (Daniel), Grams and Gramps Ed and Karen Michael, Aunt Jennifer Koehler (Hans), Uncle “Bubba” Eddie Michael (Gina) and cousins Alex, Joe Joe, Paige, Brock and Nora.
Our lives are forever better for having known you and blessed to get to love you. Enjoy the best view for every single Colts game with your sidekick! Remember - It’s not goodbye - It’s see ya later, Ohana!
A Receiving of Friends will be held at Berry Highland West, located at 9913 Sherrill Blvd, Knoxville, TN 37932, on February 13, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with the funeral service to follow.
