Michael Joe Hodges "Plowboy" passed on August 10, 2026, at the age of 70. He was born on December 27, 1955, and resided in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was married to his loving wife, Pam for 52 years. Michael was a long time member of Forest Grove Church. He enjoyed his time with his family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also spent many years drag racing at Knoxville Dragway and 411 Dragway. He was a classic car enthusiast and especially had a love for Chevrolet muscle cars. He restored many cars throughout the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Leviticus Hodges; brothers, Homer Valentine, Prentice Hodges; sisters, Vada McClure, Johnnie Simpson, Alice Nickles, Jessie Caughorn.
Michael is survived by his wife Pam Hodges; son, Michael James Hodges (Heather); grandchildren, Chelsey Wynn (Jackson), Kenslee Hodges, Chase Hodges; great grandchildren, Jack Barrett Wynn, Maverick Wynn, Andie Claire Wynn; and several nieces and nephews; along with several extended family members.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, between the hours of 5-7PM in the parlors of Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920.
Family and friends will at Woodlawn Cemetery Pastor Dave Mason will be officiating.
