Mike was my stepbrother when my father US Jones was married to Rinda and we grew up together. Spent many a happy day in the summertime playing baseball and hanging out in downtown Knoxville at the old Athletic House and buying Krystals and chocolate shakes when you could get all for a $1.00. If there are any of Mike's relatives or close friends out there would be nice to visit with you. Sam Jones (usjonesiii@yahoo.com)

To my Big Brother Mike. Although, we were separated by age, distance, and family situations, I always thought of you and was proud you were my brother. I am so glad that we had contacted each other, after so many years, during these last few months. I miss what we never had as much as I miss you now.
May I express my condolences to the Burnett and Jones family for your loss.

I will always remember Mike, our Young High School classmate. He was such a sweet soul. Condolences to his loved ones.

My condolences to Mike's family and friends. Mike and I played football and basketball together, and he was generally the better athlete, but he was always modest about his own abilities and complimentary to everyone else. I have no doubt that he was the same way in Vietnam, and in his career in DC. A great guy and a loss to our class of 64.

So sorry to hear about Mike. I have fond memories of our childhood years at First Baptist Church. His dear mother, Mrs. Rinda, was my favorite Sunday School Teacher. My sympathy goes out to his dear family.
