Michael Ted Lakins passed away peacefully July 21st, 2024, with his daughter and son in law by his side. He is preceeded in death by his loving mother and father Betty and Gilmore Lakins. He is survived by wife Peggy Lakins, daughter Sara Lakins and son in law Jason Hurt, and stepson and grandson Joshua Russell and Mason Russell. He also had a daschund named Bruiser who he loved spending time and napping together. Michael was born and raised in South Knoxville and graduated from Young High School. Michael was a loving and caring husband and father. He battled pancreatic cancer for six months before he gained his wings. He was a strong and courageous man and will be truly missed. The family will have a celebration of life at a later point. Please keep them in your prayers as they mourn the loss of their precious loved one.
