Mike was a good man and a great friend. He had an infectious laugh and a sense of humor and always sought to bring out the best in everyone. He loved his children and bragged about them often. He was dedicated to his work and was always a class act. RIP Mike. You will be missed by all who knew you.

Dad, my heart is broken for you, although you told me "it's okay" every time I told you I was so sorry you had to be dealt this hand. NOTHING can separate us from the love we have, though...NOTHING. I feel you right with me. Thank you for the rainbow you sent me the first time I was at your grave, where you told me you were smiling now, and you felt so much better, and for me to go on and be happy. I love you forever. Mike was my husband for 24 years and the father of our two wonderful children, Susannah and Andrew. Mike, thank you for the marriage that we had and our children and our grandchild, Valen. I'm so sorry that this happened to you and as I told you, it made me very sad. I will see you in heaven someday and we can talk things over and admire our children while walking on streets of gold! Rest in Peace.

My deepest sympathy to all of Mike's loved ones. I have many great memories of happy times working with him in TCA. His leadership as a work project coordinator truly left its mark on the Knoxville community. No doubt about it, he left this world a better place for having been here, which is an accomplishment to to take pride in.
