Washam, Michael (Possum), age 56 of South Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 23, 2012. He was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by mother; Bertha Washam, son; Timothy Carter. Survived by father; James Washam, brothers; James (Cindy), Maynard (Debbie) Washam, sisters; Carolyn Garner, Bertha (Lonnie) Smith, Teresa Nichols and Elaine (Rex) Whaley, former wife; Brenda Washam, children; Melissa French, Laura Breeden, 10 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Service will be on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Smelcer officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM prior to the service.
