Mildred Faye Johnson

Mildred F. ( Stanton) Johnson, age 80 of Knoxville, went to Heaven on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church. Mildred was active at The South Knoxville Senior Center where she taught art for many years. In addition to art she enjoyed crafting, quilting and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents Ollie and Mattie Stanton; brother Max Stanton and sister Jean Stanton Dawes. Survived by loving husband of 43 years Charles Johnson; daughters Kathy Wright of Asheville, NC; Kimberly Justice of Willow Wood, Ohio; grandchildren, Joshua Robinson and spouse Amber, Stephanie Gilbert, Megumi Wright and Winter Wright; great grandchildren, Christian, Elise and Maci; sisters Pat Davenport and Gale Haynes. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017 to proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
