Oglesby, Mildred Laugherty Lyles, age 93, of Knoxville, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Mildred was a lifetime member of Second United Methodist Church. She was a member of Ruth Creswell class. Thank you to Dr. Sadlon and the staff of the Island Home Park for their loving and excellent care. She was preceded in death by parents; John and Cordilia Laugherty, 9 brothers and sister, husbands; Freeman L. Lyles and Raymond Oglesby. Survived by son and daughter-in-law; Sam and Wanda Lyles, daughter and son-in-law; Bobbie and Herb Thomas, grandchildren; Robin Geldrich (Butch), Kelly Braden, Dan Thomas (Beth), Scott Lyles (Katie), 6 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be a call of convenience Friday, August 31, 2012 at Berry Funeral Home. Family and friends will meet Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Woodlawn Cemetery for a 2:30 PM graveside service with Rev. M.C. Taylor officiating.
