

EDMONSON, NEVA COMER, After several months of declining health, Neva passed peacefully away at 6:15am on December 24, 2013 at her home in South Knoxville. She was loved and cherished by her family and friends and will be deeply missed. They are comforted to know she is no longer suffering and is now with the Lord. Neva enjoyed her career as a photographer at Miller Studios and in later years managed the local American Legion Post on Kingston Pike. Neva attended St. Luke United Methodist Church with her family. She was the last of ten children born to John F. and Minnie Belle Comer. Neva was preceded in death by her son, Dwayne Edmonson; sisters, Little Mary Comer, Bessie Marie Kinder, and Beulah Hood; brothers, Jack Comer, Dick Comer, Jess Comer, Sam Comer, Paul Comer and Joe Comer. Neva leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter and caretaker, Sandra K. Roberts; grandson, Scooter Mendenhall; granddaughter-in-law, Stacy Mendenhall; great-grandchildren, Trevor and Gracie Mendenhall, all of Friendswood, Texas and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind special friends, Janine Baker, Linda Newcomb, and Johnece Hilton. Special thanks to caregivers Debbie Loveday, Judy Campbell and Amedysis Hospice for their loving care. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Monday, December 30, 2013 at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway. Family and friends will meet at Berry Funeral Home at 2:30pm, Tuesday, December 31, 2013 to travel in procession to Woodlawn Cemetery for the 3pm graveside service, Rev Danny Davis officiating.
