Opal Roberta McDaniel, age 85, of Rutledge, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Retired from Levi Strauss after over 20 years of service. Opal was a loving mother and mamaw who will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by her brothers, Bernes Cromer and Wayne Cromer; sisters, Ruby Buxton and Jewel Thomas; daughter, Desiree Bates; and son, Randall Bates.
She is survived by sons, David McDaniel (Kelli) and Danny Bates (Diane); 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Dessie Calhoun; and special cat, Rowdy.
Family and friends will meet at Woodlawn Cemetery at 12:45 PM for a 1:00 PM graveside service on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.
