Pamela Sue (Talley) Murphy

Pamela was a devoted member of Meridian Baptist Church, where her faith and fellowship were central to her life. She graduated in 1967 from the East Tennessee Baptist Hospital School of Nursing and dedicated 41 years to serving others as a registered nurse in many capacities. Her compassion, professionalism, and gentle spirit touched countless lives throughout her career.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cecil Ellis Murphy; her parents Resinol and Unavee Talley; and her sister, Sandra Gayle Stump.

Pamela is survived by her loving daughter, Rachel Leigh Rimmer, and son-in-law, Lynn Rimmer; grandchildren Adam (Rachele), Elizabeth , and Matthew (Felicia); great-grandchildren Janice, Harper, Max, Blaze, and Halle; brother Stephen Talley; niece Ashley Allen; nephews Nathan Stump and Barton Stump. She also leaves behind many special friends.

The family would also like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Pamela’s final days.

The family is having a non-funeral home involved receiving of friends on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Meridian Baptist Church, located at 6513 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM, officiated by Brother Dana Fachman and Brother Michael Martin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Meridian Baptist Church or Samaritan’s Purse.
