Patsy Nelson Pritchett, age 92, of South Knoxville passed away peacefully December 13, 2025. Patsy was a 1951 graduate of Young High School. Following graduation she went to work as a bookkeeper for JCPenney's, Knox County Circuit Court office and served faithfully as the financial secretary at Sevier Heights Baptist Church for more than forty years.
Patsy is preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Bill Pritchett; parents, Lennis Nelson and Eva Owens Nelson; sister, JoAnne Massengill and husband Jack Massengill.
Patsy was a lifelong member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church where she had served in the children's ministry for many years. She was active in Women of Grace widows ministry, Bob Norton's and Mike Ford's Sunday School Classes, Betty Burgin's small group and the homebound ministry.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki and husband, Steve Kieffer; nephew, Jeff and wife Lynda Massengill and many cousins and friends; Special friends, Jean Fowler and Janice Ford; "adopted daughters," Jacque Norton and Janet Hatmaker and their families.
The family will receive friends, Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 12-2 pm with a chapel service to follow at 2 pm. Dr. Hollie Miller and Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Graveside services will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery with Rev. Charlie McNutt officiating.
