Over the past few years I have gotten to know my cousins even more so than those previous years of family get-together's, like most of you, at funerals. Uncle Ed's side of the family and that of Charlie his brother, have began meeting at what I have called the 'boyz make noyz' breakfast club, at Tracy's on Western Avenue, every second Saturday of the month. This 'breakfast', which we have been part of for over 6-7 years has provided much humor and serious gab amongst the attendees. It had been such a pure pleasure to have Leonard with us and appreciate his laugh and his devotion to God's Truth, which Leonard took very seriously (as should we all) in the last 3-4 years, paying much closer attention than that he did previously. Leonard's face would light up when he would smile, and his smile, being contagious, would also cause a smile to cross my face also. We had many discussions about the Bible and how we should study and comprehend that which was written, Leonard engaged dearly that which he read, and he was ready to be greeted by Christ. I would like to extend a personal invitation to anyone who would like to meet with us at Tracys, to feel free to do so, we meet at 8AM on the second Saturday of the month. I will miss Leonard very much, I always looked forward to the 'new' subject material he would share with me after breakfast. More important than how we 'live' our life here on earth, is how we depart this life on earth, Leonard was well prepared and received, I will miss and love him in the time allotted me in the future.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Leonard.   I was one of his softball players years ago, and I cherish those memories everyday.   The years have flown by, but those good ole days at Badgett field and Leonard as my coach are still ever present with me.   We were the cardinals and Leonard and Mr. Miller were our coaches.   I am sure there is a great reunion in heaven right now with Leonard, my dad and Mr. Miller.  I am so sorry again for your loss.   My name was Cathy Kirkpatrick.
