Paulette Carol Riedel, age 66 of Powell, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Paulette was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on December 9, 1956 to Paul Edward Riedel and Inez Catherine Ezell Riedel. She was a 1974 graduate of Central High School. Seaman Apprentice Riedel served in the United States Navy from October 1984 to July 1987 aboard the USS Samuel Gompers AD-37 where she was awarded the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
A interment with full military honors will be held at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery under the Dignity Memorial Homeless Veteran Burial program on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 12:30 pm.
