Peggy R Lawson

Mom was a devoted wife to J.D. for 49 years. She raised four children. She was a grandmother to four, and a great-grandmother to one. She loved to travel, shop and spend time with her family. She was our rock to cling to in times of trouble and instilled calmness through the storms.

Peggy was preceded in death by: her husband J.D. Lawson; mother: Anna Mae Walker; brothers: Jimmy, Alvin, and Jackie Walker; sisters: Barbara Ann Walker, and Brenda Brock.

She is survived by her sons: John Lawson (Shirley), Brian Lawson (Jody); sister: Wanda Swinney; daughters: Cindy Beckham (Greg), Connie Baker (Thomas); grandchildren: Tania, Gabrielle, Abigail Lawson, Jacob Baker (Taylor); great-grandchild: Alaric Baker.

A visitation for Peggy will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Berry Funeral Home in the Chapel located at 3704 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, TN 37920. Friends and family with meet at the cemetery for graveside service that will occur Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4500 Woodlawn Pike, Knoxville, TN 37920.
