Phillip E. Wilson

Wilson, Phillip E., age 69, of Seymour, passed away at home on May 14, 2012. He was a member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church and an employee of the Knoxville News Sentinel for over 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roby and Verdie Wilson and four brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Pat” Wilson; his daughters, Sherri Major and Wendy Harpst and Steve Harpst and Jonathan Major; his granddaughter, Katherine; and grandsons, Rece and Nicholas Harpst; father and mother-in-law, Paul and Elizabeth Carlyle, of Bluff City; brother-in-law, Robert and Jody Carlyle, of Atlanta, GA; his brothers, Leonard and David Wilson, of Bristol; and numerous other family and friends. The family will receive friends at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 5-7:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow.
