Jean graduated from nursing college and served as a Registered Nurse, bringing steady strength and a giving spirit to the work she was called to do. Her resilience showed not in grand declarations, but in the dependable way she met life—showing up, caring well, and offering what was needed with quiet generosity.
She found joy in traveling and shopping, and she was a devoted U.T. fan—especially when it came to football. Jean also shared her love of the Lord openly and sincerely, often through small, meaningful gifts, including the little Jesus figurines she loved to give. She had a way of making others feel welcome, and she never knew a stranger.
Above all, Jean will be remembered as deeply beloved and unwaveringly loyal to her family and friends—faithful in presence, constant in support, and generous in the ways that mattered most.
Jean was preceded in death by her father, Albert George Rogers; her mother, Ruby Lee Rogers; and her brother, Danny Joe Rogers.
She is survived by her niece, Amanda West (Marshall); her great-nephews, Jackson West and Pruitt West; her aunt, Naomi Hicks; and many cousins and friends.
