Around 1994 Ms. Phyllis was working at John Tarleton Group Home and she was transporting a group of children (I was in one of them) to school. While going towards Bearden Middle School we was hit from the opposite side of the road and and we flipped 4 times in a small median on Middlebrook Pike across from Big Oaks. Ms. Phyllis and I was up front and she held my hand while we was cut out of the van. And after that day she said I was like a granddaughter to her because after it was over I always checked on her. She never judged anyone and when I seen her a few years ago when her granddaughter Breanna Lane & I had pictures made with our children. Her hug was so comforting and I still can feel it. I am heartbroken and I just wanted to say "Thank you" Ms. Phyllis for being a wonderful and respectful woman! Fly high... 👼🏼👼🏼👼🏼👼🏼👼🏼💔💔💔💔💔

I remember her sense of humor. She was always so nice to my mom and i. We would run into her at yard sales. One time she had her husband take a mower home for me. Such a sweet lady.
