Raymond stepped into the arms of Jesus Sat Dec 28, 2019. He was larger than life, adored his Grandchildren and his Girls. His love for Christ and community stretched far and wide in his gift of serving others well. He was a member and deacon of New Hopewell Baptist Church, serving countless hours on the hospitality and building committees. He also served for years on the Baptist Association Disaster Relief Team in Mississippi, Texas and Kentucky making life long friendships he immensely enjoyed. He spent 31 years with UPS as a package car driver and then retired to spend his days loving his grandchildren and helping everyone he could. He was gentle, funny, and kind hearted. He wanted “everything” done the right way and of course he would tell you how and then show you twice.
