Raymond Edward Lowe
January 9, 1951 – December 30, 2019
Raymond "Donut" Edward Lowe, 68 passed away at the University of Tennessee Medical Center on December 30, 2019 with his family by his side. Raymond was a dedicated family man and long time member of Valley Grove Baptist Church, he was the owner and master plumber of Lowe Plumbing Co. for 38 years, Raymond proudly served his country in the Navy for 4 years, he was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to camp. He had a passion for helping people including the young and elderly, member of Sevier Lodge 334 and a Pastmaster of South Knoxville Lodge 768.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; Horace Edward Lowe and Pearl Lillian Lowe.
He leaves behind to cherish his loving memories, loving wife Phyllis Lowe, children; Jeff (Desiree) Lowe, Tim Cox, Shelley (Steven) Johnson, brother; Roy A. Lowe, nephews; Clint (Stevi) Lowe, Matt Lowe, grandchildren; Jeremiah Lowe, Asher Lowe, Samuel Lowe, Caleb Lowe, Ewan Johnson and Abby Johnson, great nephew; Gabe Jones and great niece; Lillian Lowe.
Raymond's family will receive friends on Friday January 3, 2020 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Berry Highland South Funeral Home, 9010 E. Simpson Rd., Knoxville, TN 37920, with a funeral service to follow at 6:00pm with Pastor Kevin Cottrell to officiate the service. Graveside service will be held privately at a later date. Gary & I were in Florida & just got home today. (1/5/2020). We were so sadden to hear that Donut had passed. We would have been there to personally express our love and respect for him. He will be missed. I loved him like a brother and he was always so sweet to me. May God comfort you & your family during this time and we will keep you all in our prayers.

Raymond was a great friend and I enjoyed sitting around Jim Ford's garage drinking coffee and remembering the good old days at Young High. Raymond will be missed by many. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
